On Morgan Pressel/Marina Alex defeating Anna Nordqvist/Anne van Dam 2&1
Karen Stupples – “Morgan feeds off of momentum switches. She took advantage of that this morning.”

Stupples – “Pressel has been magic.”
On Georgia Hall/Celine Boutier defeating Lizette Salas/Ally McDonald 3&2
Grant Boone – “They put on a show for a second straight day.”
Karen Stupples – “Just a tremendous performance. So solid, consistent and didn’t allow the Americans to get back into this match.”
Stupples – “These two together are so tough. They don’t show a lot of emotion, and the other team never knows how they are feeling.”
Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier speaking with GOLF Channel’s Jim Gallagher Jr. following their victory
Celine Boutier – “You have to take it and be ready for anything. I think we kind of knew it was going to be windy out there so we knew to stay patient, just make pars, find fairways and greens and make everything that we can.”
Georgia Hall – “It is like a 4-club wind out here and putting is really hard to keep your balance. You have to take into account the wind when you are reading putts as well, which is tough. But we played amazing and very happy to get the second win.”
Hall – “I think most importantly is trying to keep your rhythm and not trying to get too quick because the wind is below. Celine hit some amazing chips out there and I hit my irons pretty good as well so we kind of gelled well again.”
Charley Hull/Azahara Munoz defeating Danielle Kang/Megan Khang 4&3
Lisa Cornwell – “These are point getting machines.”
Charley Hull and Azahara Munoz speaking with GOLF Channel’s Lisa Cornwell following their victory
Charley Hull – “It was a good game yesterday. I wasn’t quite hitting my driver well but I figured it out on the range. Hitting it a lot better today. We gelled really well together and made a few birdies in this wind. After that little blip in the end yesterday we came back strong.”
Azahara Munoz – “It has been so difficult. We have been saying that the ball moves a lot and it is hard to putt. Even reading putts are so difficult. But we have done great. I think we complement each other amazing with our personalities. We have kept patient out there, which you have to.”
Munoz – “Our locker room is amazing. We have enjoyed each other so much. The attitude out there is so good that everyone is loose. We just enjoy each other. Not much to say we just need to keep doing what we’re doing and we’ll be good to go on Sunday.”
On Jessica Korda/ Nelly Korda defeating Carlota Ciganda/ Bronte Law 6&5
Jerry Foltz – “This team is invincible in foursomes play.”
Tom Abbott – “Another huge win for the Kordas. Record equaling performances yesterday and today. They are playing really fantastic golf. They really relish this format.”
Jessica and Nelly Korda speaking with GOLF Channel’s Jerry Foltz following their victory
Nelly Korda – “I think we just know each other so well. We have a lot of fun. It is really easy out on the golf course with her. We just have fun.”
Nelly – “She has been playing really well. It has been great to have her on my team.”
Jessica Korda – “That is what I was telling Nelly. Don’t get frustrated. You have to really commit to these shots. Honestly I’m glad we don’t have to put a score down it is just against the other team because you really need to use your imagination on a lot of these holes and take the risky shot in.”
Jessica (on Pressel and Alex coming back in their match) – “It was awesome. That was so great to watch. They were so down and then we saw they got it to all squared, then 1 up, 2 up, 3 up. It is amazing. Those girls have so much fight in them.”
