PGA TOUR’s Hawaii Swing Begins this Week in Primetime at the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort in Maui

Star-Studded Field Features 17 of the Top 20 Players in the Official World Golf Ranking

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 4, 2023 – The PGA TOUR’s 2023 calendar year gets underway at the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Resort (Plantation Course) in Maui, Hawaii, live in primetime this Thursday-Sunday across NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock.

This year’s edition of the Sentry Tournament of Champions features a star-studded field that includes 17 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, including past event winners Justin Thomas (2020, 2017), Xander Schauffele (2019), and Jordan Spieth (2016). All members of the field qualified with a PGA TOUR victory in the calendar year of 2022 or finished in the top 30 of the final FedExCup Playoffs and Eligibility Points List.

The tournament, which features a $15 million purse, begins the 2023 Hawaii Swing on the PGA TOUR and is the first of two consecutive events taking place in the state with the Sony Open in Honolulu next week.

First and second round coverage at Kapalua will be presented live in primetime from 6-10 p.m. ET Thursday and Friday on GOLF Channel and Peacock. Saturday and Sunday’s coverage will begin on NBC and Peacock from 4-6 p.m. ET and continue from 6-8 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel and Peacock.

Yesterday, it was announced that PGA TOUR winners Brad Faxon and Smylie Kaufman have joined the NBC golf commentary team, with Kaufman beginning his new assignment as on-course reporter at Kapalua Resort this week. Click here for more details.
