STAMFORD, Conn. – June 11, 2019 – Eddie Olczyk and Britney Eurton will join NBC Sports’ presentation of Royal Ascot, making their debuts next week at the Royal Meeting in Ascot, England. NBC Sports’ live coverage from Ascot begins on Tuesday, June 18 at 8:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN, and concludes Saturday, June 22 on NBC at 9 a.m. ET. Olczyk, a handicapper/analyst on NBC Sports’ horse racing coverage, will work Ascot on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, while Eurton will co-host NBC Sports’ comprehensive coverage for all five telecasts.
Olczyk, a U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and NHL on NBC game analyst, joins Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick in the booth for tomorrow night’s Stanley Cup Final Game 7 matchup between the St. Louis Blues and the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. NBC’s coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET.
Beginning next Tuesday, June 18 at 8:30 a.m. ET, NBC Sports presents daily live coverage of the Royal Meeting in Ascot on NBCSN. Daily telecasts of the full five-day Royal Meeting will air on NBCSN through Friday, June 21, and the event culminates on NBC on Saturday, June 22, starting at 9 a.m. ET. In total, NBC Sports will present 22 hours of coverage over the five-day stretch.
Olczyk, who will be attending Ascot for the first time, will provide American audiences with a closer look at the lively world of betting the races in the UK and share insight for the American bettor, who will have the opportunity to bet all of the races from Ascot this year.
Eurton, who will attend the Royal Meeting for the fourth time, makes her NBC Sports’ debut on the event serving as co-host for all five days alongside Nick Luck, while NBC News’ Dylan Dreyer will once again join the broadcast on Friday and Saturday, in addition to Olczyk. On Friday morning, June 21, Dreyer will report live from Ascot on TODAY. Dreyer’s weekend coverage will include access to the Royal Enclosure, one of the most exclusive and prestigious areas of access for the event.
In addition, the event is highlighted by the attendance of Queen Elizabeth II, who arrives each day promptly at 9 a.m. ET in a Royal Procession of carriages. She has attended Royal Ascot every year since 1945.
