STAMFORD, Conn. – August 4, 2016 – NBC Olympics and Yahoo have extended their existing digital alliance to include content and promotion surrounding the Games of the XXXI Olympiad from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The alliance provides Yahoo’s audience in the United States with links to all of’s exclusive live streamed events and video highlights.

This marks the second consecutive time that NBC Olympics and Yahoo are collaborating around the Games. In addition to their Olympic relationship, Yahoo and NBC Sports are now in the fourth year of a digital sports alliance that widens NBC’s distribution.

The streaming coverage will be available on desktops, mobile devices, and tablets, plus connected TVs for the first time.

For the first time, NBC Olympics will stream the coverage of all nine NBCUniversal Olympic networks — broadcast networks NBC and TELEMUNDO (Spanish language); cable channels Bravo, CNBC, Golf Channel, MSNBC, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), NBC UNIVERSO (Spanish language), and USA Network. Each network’s TV coverage will also include athlete features, segments on the host city and country, and interviews with newsmakers and medal-winning athletes.
