STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 11, 2024 – Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (9-4) visit 2022 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Geno Smith and the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks (8-5) in the Week 15 edition of NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Football Night in America, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from Lumen Field in Seattle, Wash., on NBC, Peacock and Universo.

The Packers fell to the NFC-leading Detroit Lions, 34-31, on the road last Thursday. Love threw for 206 yards and a touchdown while 2022 First Team All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs ran for 66 yards and three touchdowns. Jacobs, who has scored at least one touchdown in each of the past four games, ranks third in the NFL in rushing yards (1,053), fourth in rushing attempts (239), and ties for fifth in rushing touchdowns (11). Additionally, he is the first player since Derrick Henry in 2021 with multiple games of three-or-more rushing touchdowns in a season.

The Seahawks defeated division foe Arizona Cardinals, 30-18, on Sunday for their fourth consecutive win. Smith threw for 233 yards and a touchdown while running back Zach Charbonnet, filling in for the injured Kenneth Walker III, ran for a game-high 134 yards and two touchdowns and added seven catches for 59 yards. Second-year wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had five receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown. The 2023 first-round pick out of Ohio State, Smith-Njigba is sixth in the NFL in receiving yards (911) and tied for ninth in receptions (75). The Seahawks, who hold a one game lead over the Rams in the division, have not won the NFC West since 2020.

The Packers and Seahawks meet for the 25^th time, including the postseason, on Sunday, with Green Bay leading 15-9 in the all-time series. The two teams have met in the postseason four times since 2003, second-most among NFC teams behind only Packers-49ers (five). One of their most memorable matchups was the 2014 NFC Championship Game, highlighted by Russell Wilson and Seattle mounting a furious second-half comeback that culminated in a walk-off overtime win over Aaron Rodgers’ Packers. Sunday’s game also marks the first career matchup between Love and Smith.

Calling Packers-Seahawks is Mike Tirico (play-by-play); 17-time Emmy Award winner Cris Collinsworth (analyst); and Melissa Stark (sideline reporter). Three-time Super Bowl referee Terry McAulay is the Sunday Night Football rules analyst.

Football Night in America’s studio team will also provide recaps and insights into the day’s biggest moments, while Florio will provide injury and news updates.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING:

Flexible scheduling will be used in Weeks 11-18. Additionally, in Weeks 5-10, flexible scheduling may be used in no more than two weeks. In Weeks 5-17, the schedule lists the games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to an afternoon start time.

For Week 18, two Saturday games and the Sunday night game will be announced no later than six days prior to January 5. The schedule does not list Saturday games or a Sunday night game in Week 18, but games with playoff implications will be moved to those time slots. Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all Sunday time slots in those weeks and gives “surprise” teams a chance to play their way into primetime.
