Verify NOW for Sochi Olympics Live Streaming

NBC Olympics announced earlier this week that cable, satellite and telco customers will be able to access more than 1,000 hours of live streaming content of the XXII Olympic Winter Games from Sochi, Russia this February on – more than double the hours of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Customers can verify NOW at

During the Sochi Games, all competition across all 15 sports will be live streamed on and the NBC Sports Live Extra app, the preeminent destinations for Olympic content and the exclusive homes of Olympic video coverage. The site will also feature exclusive content, real-time results, medal standings, event highlights and analysis, athlete interviews and profiles, and rewinds of all event coverage. In addition, by verifying their subscriptions on now, multi-channel customers will have online access to coverage of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

NBCUniversal and the cable/satellite/telco industry are once again partnering on a marketing campaign featuring Ryan Seacrest to educate customers about the verification process. Click here to watch the video.

Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships

This past weekend, NBC Sports Digital presented more than 32 hours of live coverage of the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships from Breckenridge, Colo., live streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra and For the first time ever, all practice, qualifying, and finals of the event were presented live.

The Winter Dew Tour was the most watched Dew Tour ever. Overall, it delivered 145,000 total live starts, 3.2 million total minutes watched, 79,000 total visits and 40.3 minutes per visit, up heavily compared to last year -- +225% in visits, +176% in live starts, +465% in minutes watched and +74% in minutes per visit.

Over the course of the competition, Dew Tour set all-time daily bests in all key metrics:

  • Visits: 22,000 (Friday)
  • Live Starts: 43,000 (Friday)
  • Uniques: 18,000 (Sunday)
  • Live Minutes Watched: 933,000 (Sunday)
  • Minutes per Visit: 43.9 (Sunday)

Premier League Weekend Stats

Through the first 160 games of Premier League on NBC Sports Live Extra, there have been 96.8 million live minutes watched, 4.4 million live starts, 710,000 uniques, 2.8 million visits, and an average of 34.4 minutes per visit.

Overall, the 10 Premier League games this past weekend delivered 4.9 million live minutes watched, 183,000 live starts, 66,000 uniques, 122,000 visits and averaged 40.3 minutes per visit.

  • The Saturday match between Manchester City and Arsenal led the way with 44,000 live starts, while the Tottenham vs. Liverpool game on Sunday recorded the most minutes watched, with 1.2 million.

NHL Wednesday Night Rivalry: Penguins – Rangers Recap

This week’s Wednesday Night Rivalry live stream, in which the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New York Rangers, 4-3,delivered 10,000 live starts, 269,000 minutes watched, 5,900 visits, 5,300 uniques and 45.3 minutes per visit. The game set the bar as the second-highest for engagement with 45.3 minutes per visit, behind only the record-breaking season opener this year set on October 1 (Capitals / Blackhawks). Compared to last year’s regular-season authentication-required NHL average, last night’s match-up delivered massive increases in uniques (543%), visits (530%), live starts (620%), total minutes (903%) and minutes per visit (+59%).
