STAMFORD, Conn. – April 13, 2020 – NBC Sports will present the four Stanley Cup clinching games between 2012-15 on NBC this weekend, continuing the network’s month-long presentation of the NHL’s 12 most-recent Cup clinchers. Saturday’s coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET and features the Los Angeles Kings’ victories over the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers in 2012 and 2014, respectively. The focus shifts to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, showcasing Chicago’s wins over Boston in 2013 and Tampa Bay in 2015 to give the Blackhawks three Stanley Cups in a six-year span.
This week, NBCSN will present Hockey Happy Hour Monday-Thursday from 5-7 p.m. ET, with each show featuring a memorable playoff comeback. Tonight at 5 p.m. ET, NBCSN will present a reunion of current members of the defending 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues via video conference that is co-hosted by NBC Sports’ Kathryn Tappen. A 30-minute episode of Our Line Starts, hosted by Liam McHugh, will feature an interview with Arizona Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet on Thursday at 5 p.m. ET.
NBCSN will also present a 30-minute program on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET, titled NHL Hat Trick Trivia Hosted by P.K. Subban. Hosted by the New Jersey Devils defenseman, the show will feature fans answering a trio of hockey trivia questions from their homes, along with appearances from NHL players and celebrities, for the chance to win NHL prizes. Lightning forward Patrick Maroon and Justin Abdelkader of the Red Wings will appear on the debut episode.
This past weekend, NBC Sports released a video essay penned and narrated by seven-time Emmy Award-winner Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, reflecting on the past month without hockey amid the pandemic’s uncertainty, what the sport may look like when it does return, and a profound ‘thank you’ to first responders. ST. LOUIS BLUES REUNION AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
This week’s NHL programming begins with a 30-minute virtual reunion of current members of the defending 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues via video conference that is co-hosted by NBC Sports’ Kathryn Tappen.
BLUES-BRUINS (2019 STANLEY CUP FINAL, GAME 2) AT 5:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
In a back-and-forth first period, the Blues overcame two separate one-goal deficits to tie the game. With no further scoring in regulation, the game went into overtime, where Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson netted the game winning goal. The victory was St. Louis’ first-ever in the Cup Final round, and tied the series at 1-1.
Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire had the call from TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
TUESDAY, APRIL 14
BLUE JACKETS-LIGHTNING (2019 FIRST ROUND, GAME 1) AT 6 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
Entering the Stanley Cup Playoffs after earning the Presidents’ Trophy during the regular season, the Lightning jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the first period. The Blue Jackets responded by scoring four unanswered goals to overcome the three-goal deficit and win Game 1 on the road, 4-3. The opening game victory set the tone for Columbus’ series sweep.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15
NHL HAT TRICK TRIVIA HOSTED BY P.K. SUBBAN AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
NBCSN will present a 30-minute program, titled NHL Hat Trick Trivia Hosted by P.K. Subban. Hosted by the New Jersey Devils defenseman, the show will feature fans answering a trio of hockey trivia questions from their homes, along with appearances from NHL players and celebrities, for the chance to win NHL prizes. Featured guests on the debut episode include Lightning forward Patrick Maroon, Justin Abdelkader of the Red Wings and celebrity chef Jeff Mauro.
BLACKHAWKS-PREDATORS (2015 FIRST ROUND, GAME 1) AT 5:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
Chicago’s run to the Stanley Cup in 2015 began with a memorable comeback, as the Blackhawks faced an early 3-0 deficit in Game 1 of their First Round series against the Nashville Predators. Starting goalie Corey Crawford was pulled in favor of Scott Darling, who stopped all 42 shots he faced the remainder of the game. The Hawks scored four unanswered goals, capped by Duncan’s Keith’s double-overtime winner, to claim the early series lead.
Gord Miller (play-by-play) and Joe Micheletti (analyst) called the matchup from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
THURSDAY, APRIL 16

PENGUINS-FLYERS (2018 FIRST ROUND, GAME 6) AT 5:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
In a high-scoring affair between these rivals, a player on both teams recorded hat tricks. In a losing effort, Sean Couturier of the Flyers scored three goals, while Jake Guentzel of the Penguins scored four straight goals, helping Pittsburgh turn a 4-2 deficit into an 8-5 victory, which led them to the Second Round.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18
DEVILS-KINGS (2012 STANLEY CUP FINAL, GAME 6) AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBC
The Kings jumped out to a 3-0 lead, scoring three goals on a five-minute first period power play, and never looked back, holding on for a 6-1 victory over the Devils to capture the series and the franchise’s first-ever Stanley Cup.
Emrick, Olczyk, and McGuire called the matchup from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
RANGERS-KINGS (2014 STANLEY CUP FINAL, GAME 5) AT 4:30 P.M. ET ON NBC
In a role similar to one he played in the 2014 Western Conference Final victory over the Blackhawks, Alec Martinez of the Kings played hero for Los Angeles in Game 5 of the Cup Final, scoring the game-winner in double overtime to defeat the Rangers 3-2 and clinch the Cup. The win marked Los Angeles’s second Stanley Cup in three years.

SUNDAY, APRIL 19
BLACKHAWKS-BRUINS (2013 STANLEY CUP FINAL, GAME 6) AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBC
Trailing the series 3-games-to-2, the Bruins looked like they would force a Game 7 when they took a 2-1 lead late into the 3rd period of Game 6. But when Chicago’s Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored 17 seconds apart, the Blackhawks shocked Boston to earn a 3-2 victory and clinch the 2013 Cup, their second championship in four years.

LIGHTNING-BLACKHAWKS (2015 STANLEY CUP FINAL, GAME 6) AT 4:30 P.M. ET ON NBC
Behind goals from Conn Smythe Trophy winner Duncan Keith and Patrick Kane as well as a shutout performance by goaltender Corey Crawford, the Blackhawks prevailed 2-0 over the Lightning to clinch the Cup. The victory marked Chicago’s third Stanley Cup in six years and was the first time winning the Cup on home ice since 1938.
