RANGERS-BRUINS IS MOST-WATCHED CONFERENCE SEMIFINAL GAME 1 ON NBC SPORTS NETWORK EVER

The first Conference Semifinal game between the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins – won by the Bruins, 3-2, in overtime -- averaged 1.6 million viewers last night, making it the most-watched Conference Semifinal Game 1 in NBC Sports Network history. Viewership peaked in overtime, averaging 2.3 million viewers from 10:30-10:45 p.m. ET.

Last night’s Game 2 between the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings averaged 805,000 viewers. The two-game series average is 704,000 viewers, up two percent from last year’s L.A.-St. Louis Conference Semifinal series through two games (687,000).

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2013 Stanley Cup Conference Semifinals, through three days (five games), is up 51 % in average viewership compared to the same number of days (three games) last year (1,162,000 vs. 769,000).

RECORD LOCAL RATINGS IN BOSTON & L.A.

In Boston, the Rangers-Bruins telecast received a 13.10 HH rating, the highest local rating ever in the market for an NHL Semifinal game on NBC Sports Network. NBC Sports Network was the No. 1 network overall in Boston during the 7:30-10:45 p.m. ET time period.

In Los Angeles, the Sharks-Kings telecast received a 2.29 HH rating, the highest local rating ever in the market for an NHL Semifinal game on NBC Sports Network. The game was up 43% from the Kings’ 2012 Semifinal average across both NBC Sports Network and CNBC (1.60). NBC Sports Network was the No. 2 rated cable network in Los Angeles during the 10:45 p.m.-1 a.m. ET time period.

In New York, the Rangers-Bruins telecast received a 3.39 HH rating. NBC Sports Network was the No. 2 rated cable network in New York during the 7:30-10:45 p.m. ET time period.

In San Jose, Sharks-Kings telecast on NBC Sports Network received a 2.32 HH rating. NBC Sports Network was the No. 3 rated cable network in San Jose during the 10:45 p.m-1 a.m. ET time period.
