Exeter Chiefs v. Saracens – Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, Immediately Following Premier League Coverage

Streaming-Only Coverage on & the NBC Sports App – Worcester-Gloucester on Friday at 2:45 p.m. ET, Leicester-Wasps on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. – September 7, 2016 – Round 2 of NBC Sports Group’s 2016-17 Aviva Premiership Rugby coverage is highlighted by a rematch of last year’s championship final, when Exeter Chiefs host Saracens at Sandy Park on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, immediately following Premier League post-game coverage.

In addition to NBCSN’s coverage of Exeter-Saracens, and the NBC Sports app will provide live, exclusive streaming coverage of a pair of matches this weekend, beginning on Friday at 2:45 p.m. ET, when Worcester Warriors host Gloucester Rugby. and the NBC Sports app will also stream Saturday’s match featuring Leicester Tigers and Wasps at 10 a.m. ET.

NBC Sports’ Leigh Diffey will anchor studio coverage for Sunday’s Exeter-Saracens match on NBCSN. He will be joined by analyst and former Premiership Rugby player Alex Corbisiero, who played seven combined seasons for London Irish and Northampton Saints. Nick Mullins, Glenn Delaney, and Ugo Monye will provide game commentary of Exeter-Saracens on NBCSN.

Saracens opened up the 2016 campaign with a 35-3 win against Worcester, as they outscored the Warriors 29-0 in the second half to pull away. Alex Lozowski scored a league-leading 20 points for Saracens, including a try, in his debut for the club. Exeter opened their season with a 25-20 defeat at Wasps in Round 1 last weekend.

Exeter hope to avenge their 28-20 loss to Saracens in the 2015-16 Premiership Rugby final. Saracens have won 11 consecutive matches across all competitions, dating back to March 20, 2016. The Chiefs have never begun a Premiership Rugby season with consecutive losses, and went 11-0-1 last season at home, with their only loss coming against Saracens.

Each weekend, NBC Sports Group will present the most compelling Premiership Rugby matches on the schedule, often preceding or following live coverage of Premier League soccer. The Premiership Rugby season will culminate with live coverage of the league Final on Saturday, May 27 on NBCSN.
