As today’s deadline wound down to secure players who would be eligible for Saturday’s opening fixtures, we got an idea as to what players will be playing with who on Saturday. All players who wish to play for their clubs this weekend must be secured on their rosters by tonight.

It would seem that, depending on when the deal is completed, Darren Bent may be able to play for Fulham against Jozy Altidore’s Sunderland this weekend. In addition, other strikers around the Premier League will be looking to open their season’s scoring.

This season, 2 Welsh clubs (Swansea City and Cardiff City) will be playing in the top flight of English soccer for the first time in history.

Sounding off with NBC Sports Group’s Premier League coordinating producer Pierre Moossa:

The NBC press group caught up with the coordinating producer for the upcoming Premier League telecasts Pierre Moossa to find out what he is going to be getting himself into this season with 380 games to oversee.

What I am most looking forward to this Premier League season is…

Seeing all the preparation, planning and hard work by our entire NBC Sports Group on display.

I am preparing for this season of telecasts by…

Talking to everyone I possibly can about the Premier League and soccer coverage in general. It’s important to get many different ideas and points of view. I’ve spent a lot of time over in the United Kingdom, observing and meeting with anyone involved in covering the Premier League. I believe that before you can determine how you want to broadcast a league that is new to your company, you must first understand how everything works and why it’s being covered a certain way.

Before we go on air, I need…

Chewing gum. I am very superstitious and must chew gum right before we go on the air. I have the same quirky routines before shows. I always dress nicely and shave on show days (I tend not to shave on the other days of the week). I feel it’s important to dress how you want your show to go.

My typical Saturday or Sunday morning during the season will be…

An incredible thrill. It’s a privilege and honor to broadcast the Premier League. You can expect our coverage to be authentic and true to the game. We will be on-site in the United Kingdom whenever possible and our studio show will provide you with lots of highlights, analysis, news, reports, interviews and perspective. It will be a quality watch.

If I’m not watching and producing soccer coverage, I like to…

Have a nice meal out with my wife, Ashley.

NBC Sports Group will make available in the United States all 380 games from the Premier League. That’s more than anywhere else on the globe (including the U.K.). All games will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
