Arda Turan is kind of excited to finally be able to play for Barcelona. In particular, to play alongside the 4-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Turan was finally able to make his Barcelona league debut this weekend. The 28-year-old signed for the club in the summer but was unable to play until the January window opened due to the club’s transfer ban. He assisted Lionel Messi’s opening goal in a 4-0 win over Granada, and after the match he didn’t hold back about his thoughts on his teammate.

“I have never seen anything like Messi he is a miracle from god and it is a joy to play alongside him,” Turan told the Turkish media following the game.

Messi ended up with a hat-trick in the match, his first of the season. He is the heavy favorite to win the 2015 Ballon d’Or, what would be his fifth time winning the trophy.
