The next time Sergio Aguero wears a club shirt different from Manchester City, it’ll be because he’s going home.

Aguero said he doesn’t understand the Real Madrid transfer rumors, claiming that he’s never had a problem with new boss Pep Guardiola, and expressed passion for City.

The prolific striker left childhood club Independiente for Atletico Madrid in 2006, joining Man City in 2011. Speaking with South America’s ESPN Radio, Aguero said his post-City destination isn’t in Europe.

From Sky Sports:

“For now I’m fine at Manchester City, and the day I leave it will be to return to Independiente. How long has it been rumoured about Real Madrid? I’m very happy at City and more so now with Pep.

“This month I’ve been thinking very positively. In the last few weeks my head has changed a lot.”
