The injury suffered by Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov suffered in pre-match warm-ups during the Manchester Derby has proven to be a significant one, sidelining him for up to a month.
Kolarov limped off the pitch in pre-kickoff with a calf injury and was replaced by Gael Clichy in the 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
The injury will keep the Serbian out of as many as five matches, including tomorrow’s Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow as well as games against QPR, Swansea, Bayern Munich and Southampton.
While Kolarov has been deemed out of tomorrow’s clash with CSKA, City welcome back Eliaquim Mangala from a thigh injury. With only two points from three matches, Manuel Pellegrini’s side must take full points against the Russians if they seek to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16.
