Following a mature 2-0 win at Everton on Saturday, under-fire Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes his team is still in the Premier League title race.

Arsenal had only won once in their eight games before this weekend, but responded well to being knocked out of both the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in the last seven days.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Arsenal’s manager believes they can still win the title as they trail second-place Tottenham by just three points.
Wenger, 66, has come under plenty of pressure from Arsenal’s expectant supporters in the last few weeks and despite plenty of criticism for him and his players, the Frenchman is proud of the way they delivered.
Danny Welbeck scored the opener after sublime interplay between Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, while Nigerian teenager Alex Iwobi scored his first Arsenal goal on his full PL debut.
They may not be at the top of the table where they believe they belong, but Arsenal is showing some grit to fight back from a sticky spell.
“It was a very significant win for us and a mental test. We continued the level of performance against Barcelona,” Wenger said. “I like this group, I like the mental attitude, it has been questioned and it hurts me. When you work every day with them you see how much effort they put in.”
Another note from the game is that Arsenal’s supporters chanted against majority owner, American businessman Stan Kroenke, and perhaps this signifies them turning against someone else other than Wenger.

With a game in hand over their title rivals, perhaps Arsenal isn’t quite out of the title race.
However, they will have to continue to put in strong performances like this to have any chance of making a late charge.
