AT HALF: Kljestan has USMNT ahead of T&T; Guatemala, SVG score at will

2016 MLS All-Star Game: Arsenal v MLS All-Stars

Group C’s deciding games in the fourth round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying are stark in contrast.

The United States men’s national team has the only goal of a choppy affair against Trinidad and Tobago in Jacksonville, while St. Vincent and The Grenadines has engaged in a free-scoring 45 minutes versus Guatemala.

The Yanks came closest to scoring when 17-year-old Christian Pulhit both posts after Bobby Wood just failed to latch onto Jozy Altidore’s cross off a hard-working run, before Kljestan cleaned up a mess near the penalty spot to give the Yanks a 1-0 lead at the half.

If the U.S. wins, it claims Group C and slides Trinidad and Tobago into second.

Guatemala’s only hope to qualify is a win, a U.S. loss, and a 13-goal swing in goal differential. They are doing their best, playing a wide-open style that has yielded six goals -- four for Guatemala -- in the first half.
