Barcelona is known to have great camaraderie between players and staff.

As athletes are wont to do, sometimes that friendship and team spirit can extend into joking and pranking. On Halloween evening, with manager Luis Enrique about to do his post-match press conference after their 2-0 win at Getafe, some Barcelona players including Ivan Rakitic and Gerard Pique wanted to play a little prank on their manager.

So they dressed up with scary masks and set off to give Enrique a spook during his presser.

Except something went very, very wrong. Being away from home, they showed up to the press conference room at the wrong time. Boy, who could have seen that coming?

As the players burst into the room, screaming and yelling with the hope of giving their boss a good, fun scare, they opened the door and rounded the corner only to see Getafe winger Victor Rodriguez sitting at the table and speaking to the media, not the least bit amused after having lost their second straight match.

The club has since apologized, confirming the disruption of Rodriguez’s was not their intent, and that they meant no disrespect to their opponent.

Whoops. Try again next time, boys.
