The green-clad Baggies were content to keep Swansea atop the 18 when the ball arrived in the final third, and a Tom Carroll free kick bobbling off the far post was the closest Swans got to going up.
Jonny Evans was stripped by Wilfried Bony 10 minutes into the second half, and the Ivorian striker side stepped Claudio Yacob to tempt goal.
Paul Clement’s Swans got a massive advantage thanks to returning hero Bony, who was back door to clean up the garbage off a corner kick. A huge lead for the Welsh side put Swans up 1-0 in the 81st minute.
