After winning his fourth Premier League title with Chelsea this season, Petr Cech’s career at Stamford Bridge is likely over.
After ten seasons as the Blues’ number-one goalkeeper, Cech had his starting spot taken by Thibaut Courtois this year, and only made 15 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea.

That’s the fewest appearances in one season for Cech since 1999, his first year playing as a professional for Blsany in the Czech Republic’s top flight.
With the torch officially passed to Courtois as Chelsea’s top man in-between the sticks, Cech has been open about his desire to get consistent minutes.
Now his agent has come out and said they are in talks with Turkish club Besiktas over a possible move this summer. Speaking to Turkish media outlet Fanatik:I have been in contact with Besiktas – we are in talks.
Turkey is a choice for Cech but we will decide when the league is over.”
Jose Mourinho has publicly stated he would like Cech to stay at Stamford Bridge, but understands his wish to play first-team football. Mourinho said that if Cech should leave, he would not want him to go to another English club.

Besiktas currently sits third on the Turkish Super Lig table, five points behind leaders Galatasaray with four games to play. Cech’s former Chelsea teammate Demba Ba signed for Besiktas last summer, and leads the club with 17 goals on the year.
