A lack of depth at center midfield and left back had some speculating that Pep Guardiola could add to Manchester City during the January transfer deadline.

That’s not the case. Well, probably. Okay, he’s really being non-committal.

Guardiola was asked about the possibility of adding to his roster on Wednesday as City prepares for a Thursday visit from leaders Liverpool.

“It’s the third time I answered that question. No news is good news, so no. Maybe tomorrow I change my opinion but today no. I am glad with the players I have, they can play in different positions. We are going to live with that situation.”

Sounds like a man who doesn’t like the early look of the market but would love to see something he likes come across his desk.

Or maybe he’s buying Nathaniel Clyne tomorrow. I don’t know.
