Major League Soccer just announced its fines and suspensions from this weekend’s action: Four culprits; three set to lose playing time; three incidents occurring in Friday night’s DC-Dallas affair:

Jair Benítez will sit out one game after this right elbow almost connected with Danny Cruz:

You can see why I say almost. You can also see what Cruz was “fined for his act of embellishment which brought the game into disrepute.”

I went off a bit on Twitter about this one, so props to MLS for going back and handed out some heftier punishment to Brandon McDonald for becoming the latest person to take a run at Blas Perez. The DC United defender will miss on match “for his reckless challenge that endangered the safety of his opponent.”

And finally, Atibi Harris - former FC Dallas player - wanted to some of the fun. He will be suspended one match for violent conduct after this:

Props to MLS for making the videos available (not exactly something every league would do).
