Malaga 1-2 Real Madrid
Ho-hum, yet another win for Real Madrid — their 16th-straight victory, breaking a club record that stood since the 1960-61 season. And it wasn’t who you expected scoring the goals either. Los Merengues maintain their two-point lead atop La Liga after holding serve themselves and seeing fellow title challengers do the same elsewhere on Sunday.
Atletico Madrid 2-0 Deportiva La Coruna
The “other Madrid club” — oh, and reigning La Liga champion — continued plugging along and keeping themselves right in the title race with their fifth win in six games. Saul Niguez and Arda Turan provided a few minutes on either side of halftime and Miguel Angel Moya kept his sixth La Liga clean sheet of the season to keep Los Rojiblancos just four points behind their Madrid neighbors.
Valencia 0-1 Barcelona
It was the late, late, late show at the Mestalla Stadium on Sunday as Barcelona needed every last second of the 90 minutes plus stoppage time — and then some — to knock off Valencia and remain two points behind Real Madrid. Sergio Busquets played the hero, slamming home a rebound saved from pointblank range with 93:54 on the clock. A minimum of three minutes of stoppage time was to be played, and Barca were very thankful for the extra 60 seconds.
Real Sociedad 3-0 Elche
Former Manchester United boss David Moyes tallied his first win in charge of Real Sociedad on Friday, and the Scottish manager has a certain Mexican forward to thank for his contributions.

But, remember Andrea Pirlo? He did something pretty special as well, giving Juve the late, late, late lead and all three points. Pirlo’s stunning strike hit the back of the net with six seconds of stoppage time left on the clock. Utter heartbreak for Torino.
AC Milan 2-0 Udinese
Jeremy Menez scored twice for AC Milan, bringing his season total to seven league goals, to push the Rossoneri into fifth place in Serie A, two points out of the third and final Champions League place. Menez’s first cam from the penalty spot after 65 minutes. 10 minutes later, the Frenchman scored another brilliant solo effort, cutting inside from the left, losing two defenders and firing into the bottom corner.
Roma 4-2 Inter Milan
The Giallorossi (31 points) refuse to concede the league title to leaders Juventus (34) with yet another victory, this time over struggling Inter Milan. With the game level 1-1 at halftime, Jose Holebas puts the Romans back on top just two minutes into the second half before Dani Osvaldo netted his fifth league goal of the season 10 minutes later to put the Nerazzurri back on level terms for the second time.
Miralem Pjanic had a different idea, though, scoring Roma’s third and ultimately winning goal just three minutes later. The Bosnian playmaker put the game out of reach with his second of the day — a stunning, dipping free kick — 60 seconds into stoppage time.
