Even without its two biggest stars, Real Madrid took care of business on Sunday away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema netted goals for Los Blancos in their 2-0 win over Espanyol, keeping Real unbeaten through four La Liga matches. Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale each missed the game due to injury.

Valencia still sits at the bottom of the Spanish table after falling 2-1 to Athletic Bilbao. Despite a strong start from Pako Ayestarán’s side, it was a brace from Aritz Aduriz that separated the two sides for good.

Nicola Sansone netted a double of his own against Real Sociedad, giving Villareal a 2-1 win over their opponents. After breaking the deadlock three minutes earlier, Sansone doubled the Villareal advantage in the 25th minute, launching a shot from nearly halfway. Yuri Berchiche pulled a goal back for the visitors 10 minutes before halftime, however, it wasn’t enough to take anything from the match.

Osasuna and Celta Vigo played to a 0-0 draw at El Sadar, keeping both sides in the relegation zone through four games. For Vigo, it was the team’s first point of the 2016/17 season.
