All of Leicester City is behind its championship-winning boss, even as the club battles relegation.

That’s the story out of King Power Stadium on Tuesday, where the Foxes have gone from the Premier League’s penthouse to a point out of the drop zone.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri spoke Tuesday in the run-up to the Foxes’ FA Cup replay against Derby County, and his club issued this statement:

What did Ranieri have to say? This, from BBC Leicester Sport:

“I think this is for the media. .... I didn’t ask them to do this. I knew what the chairman was thinking.”

“I understand football. You have to do your job and I have to do my job. When you win three matches you are God, when you lose three you are not.”

Ranieri also hilariously said he’s the same manager as he was last season, saying he speaks to his players with “the same (expletive) English and they understand me.”

With the UEFA Champions League coming and some critical relegation six-pointers in the mix, too, how will Leicester be looking come the final 10 matches of the season? We’ll know in five matches.
