Leicester’s Fuchs has NFL dreams, claims he can hit 60-yard field goals

Christian Fuchs has helped Leicester City to the precipice of a Premier League title, so who’s going to say he’s incapable of another unlikely feat?

The Austrian national team captain, 29, spoke about Leicester’s amazing season with Sky Sports this week, but dropped a couple of lines we couldn’t help but love this side of the Atlantic.

From Sky Sports:

“I have this ambition to be an NFL kicker,” he says smiling but, I’m pretty sure, serious. “If NFL managers want a footballer in their team, I know I can kick a 60 yard Field Goal. Let’s see, if you don’t dream you won’t achieve anything.”

Given that he’s 6-foot-1, I wouldn’t rule out him being that Neil Rackers-type of kicker who relishes the idea of laying out the opposition.

What do you think? After spending some time with Spurs this Fall, I’m calling on my local Buffalo Bills to invite him out to Western New York for training camp after this summer’s Euros.
