There are not a lot of people who’ve put Dani Alves and Glen Johnson in the same category, unless of course that class is broadly labeled ‘right back’.
With Dani Alves considering his future away from the Camp Nou, Barcelona is linked with a move for Johnson this summer. Liverpool’s 30-year-old defender is out of contract, and Barcelona apparently sees him as a better option than Douglas or Martin Montoya.

The La Liga giants are banned from registering new players until January 2016 as part of the underage player signing scandal, but can sign new players in this summer’s transfer window.

The Brazil international is coming to the end of his current agreement with the La Liga leaders and is a target for Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona would view Johnson as a temporary solution should Alves decide to leave Camp Nou.
But the report suggests Barca are wary of the Liverpool man’s indifferent injury record during recent seasons.
This likely comes as a surprise to Liverpool fans, as Johnson is widely treated rightly or wrongly as a scapegoat by Reds supporters.
