A couple of managers making their debuts or returns to the Premier League also have their say as we take a spin through Saturday’s post-match reaction (Full quotes from the BBC).Aston Villa’s Sherwood on Rudy Gestede grabbing a late road win at recently-promoted Bournemouth:
“You can adore Gestede because he looks so good as well! He’s a big menacing guy and he doesn’t give centre backs a minute’s rest.
“A lot of our fans have probably come down here for the weekend, so we’ve sent them home with a nice tan!”
Pardew on Crystal Palace’s early problems before beating Norwich City:
Claudio Ranieri enjoyed Leicester’s 4-2 win more than his Chelsea debut in 2000:
“The performance was outstanding from the beginning. I was calm because I saw my players concentrate. I don’t like to concede but we made a little mistake and didn’t close the man. They were clever to find the solution. Now is important to forget what happened and improve what we did not so good.
“I remember my first match [as Chelsea boss] was against Manchester United and we were losing 2-0 and ended up drawing 3-3. This was better.”
