- Palace outshoots United 13-12
- Van Aanholt wasteful for Eagles
- United fails to rebound from derby loss
It was a day for the goalkeepers at Old Trafford, where Jose Mourinho’s idealess Manchester United drew Crystal Palace 0-0 on Saturday.
Wayne Hennessey and David De Gea both made fine saves, but Palace will be much happier as it ends a daunting schedule run with a point.
United will finish the weekend at least six points back of the Top Four, while Palace moves 15th with nine points.

Crystal Palace was very physical with United, scooping up a pair of yellow cards while working over Jesse Lingard and crew.
Mamadou Sakho and Luka Milivojevic both were cautioned, but Patrick van Aanholt sent a warning to the hosts when he flubbed a Wilfried Zaha feed and sent his chance shy of the goal.
Cheikhou Kouyate was just offside before the break when he nodded a Milivojevic free kick past David De Gea.[ MORE: Latest Premier League standings ]

Romelu Lukaku was just as offside -- meaning only a shoulder -- when he pushed a rebound over the line in the 57th.
De Gea made a double save on Van Aanholt in the 63rd minute, as Palace looked the better bet to break through for an opener.
United looked to have its table set when Marcus Rashford won consecutive sliding challenges to cue up Alexis Sanchez in space, but the Chilean made a poor decision and worse pass to flub it.
At the other end, Townsend became the second player to let United off the hook with a wild effort after cutting Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof in two.
To be fair to United, it was up against an in-form keeper in Wayne Hennessey. The veteran Welsh keeper made a late stop on Lukaku to keep it 0-0.
