Henrikh Mkhitaryan is making every effort to be available for the Manchester Derby, returning home early after picking up an injury on Armenia duty.

Mkhitaryan, 27, picked up a thigh injury in Armenia’s 3-0 loss to the Czech Republic, and his national FA says the ailment will take 10 days to heal.

So he’s left the team before its first World Cup qualifier, a visit to Denmark on Sunday.

“Mkhi” will have to hope for quick recovery if he wants to play in the derby, which is a week from today at Old Trafford.
