The game in 100 words (or less): Despite playing a man up for the entire second half, Toronto FC couldn’t find a winner against the Houston Dynamo, as the two side finished 1-1. The Dynamo notched the early advantage through Cristian Maidana, but the lead was soon erased prior to halftime by TFC when Jozy Altidore scored for the third time in 2016. Toronto keeper Alex Bono was surprisingly the more active of the two net-minders, as he was forced into four key saves to keep the match level. The draw gives Toronto 37 points, which puts them one off the pace set by New York City FC in the East. Meanwhile, the Dynamo remain at the bottom of the Western Conference with 21 points.

Three Four moments that mattered

8' - Maidana leaves TFC backline stunned with volley — The through ball was something special, but Cristian Maidana’s finish was even more spectacular.

24' — Altidore responds emphatically for road side — It looked like something off the training ground, and there was nothing the Dynamo could do to stop the link up between Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore off the corner kick.

45'+2' — Dynamo go down to 10 men — After holding the early lead, being reduced to 10 players certainly wasn’t in Wade Barrett’s plans for the Dynamo when Abdoulie Mansally was sent off for taking down Sebastian Giovinco on a breakaway.

89' — Anibaba preserves a point for Dynamo — Toronto nearly snuck a winner in the dying minutes, but the Dynamo defender wasn’t having any of it.
