A roundup of all the major signings and acquisitions from around MLS in the final 48 hours of the window. Note: MLS’s roster freeze date for the 2015 season is Sept. 16.

Eastern Conference

New York Red Bulls signed 25-year-old Argentine winger Gonzalo Veron. Coming over from South American powerhouse side San Lorenzo, Veron boasts Copa Libertadores and Club World Cup experience as his Argentine club was crowned champions of South America in 2014.

Columbus Crew SC signed 25-year-old Argentine defender Gaston Sauro. Most recently featuring for Serie B side Catania, Sauro has UEFA Champions League experience from his two years with Swiss powerhouse side Basel. Sauro came up through the famed Boca Juniors youth academy.

Chicago Fire signed 24-year-old Trinidadian defender Daneil Cyrus on loan. The T&T national team center back has brief MLS experience from his time with Sporting Kansas City in 2011 (two appearances).

Western Conference

Sporting Kansas City signed 21-year-old Spanish midfielder Jordi Quintilla. Formerly of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, the versatile midfielder — supposedly capable of playing all three spots in SKC’s three-man midfield — most recently featured for Ligue 2 side Ajaccio, where he played 20 games last season.

San Jose Earthquakes signed 25-year-old Panamanian midfielder Anibal Godoy. A standout player during Panama’s run to a third-place finish at the 2015 Gold Cup, Godoy was signed by using an unknown portion of the club’s targeted allocation money (TAM). He most recently featured for Hungarian side Budapest Honved.

Portland Timbers acquired 19-year-old Jamaican striker Michael Seaton from D.C. United in exchange for TAM. Seaton signed for United as a Homegrown Player in January of 2013 and has made five league appearances since then.
