Steve’s feeling decidedly un-meh-y today, so I’ve brought out my cynicism (as if it wasn’t on the surface before) for PST’s weekly foray into unfettered ennui.

Here’s your quick-hit list of people, places and things we noticed over the weekend that land on the over-done or overly praised side. Not necessarily awful but, you know, just “meh.”

  • Mid-week matinees
  • Playing through head injuries (admittedly, this one is awful)
  • Another Comic Con picture in your Twitter/Facebook/life feed
  • Mining in the SPL’s sluice box (see Kenny Miller, right)
  • Turning advantage into disadvantage
  • Portland-LA Galaxy as an advertisement for MLS
  • Franchise tags
  • Playing devil’s advocate opposite Wondo
  • Playing up Jeremy Lin’s negatives
  • Widespread hullabaloo for TV shows most of us can’t watch
  • This week: Twitter, again
  • Next week: Tumblr, again
