The fallout from Tuesday’s horrific racial incident involving Chelsea supporters in France continued with Jose Mourinho condemning the situation on behalf of his locker room.

Mourinho says he’s ashamed at those supporters, saying they do not represent the club. Chelsea suspended three fans suspected to be involved in the incident, and will hand out lifetime bans to the trio if their investigation proves their involvement.

From the BBC:

Mourinho said: “The dressing room reacted as I did - with disappointment. They condemn the situation and support the gentleman involved. They feel ashamed but maybe we shouldn’t because these people involved do not belong to Chelsea Football Club.”

The Blues have invited the victim in question, known only as Souleymane S, to be their guest at the return leg at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea is acting quickly to try and diffuse this charged, awful atmosphere.
