PST writers predict winners of World Cup quarterfinal matches

Okay, we are down to the nitty-gritty now folks.

The World Cup quarterfinals are almost upon us an after we started with 32 teams dreaming of lifting the famous trophy back on June 12, now only eight nations have their hopes intact.

Below are the four picks from each PST writer on which country they think will prevail in the quarterfinals and reach the final four. There is plenty of love for France to beat Germany, hosts Brazil look to be crashing out to Colombia, the Netherlands are set to end Costa Rica’s Cinderella story and Belgium vs. Argentina should be tighter than a pair of Speedos.
