Raheem Sterling’s first goal for Manchester City broke a halftime deadlock, helping the unbeaten Citizens to a 2-0 win over visiting Watford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

City has now won 10-straight Premier League matches across seasons, and has yet to concede a goal this season.

Fernandinho also scored for City, burying a hard shot across and past Gomes in the 56th.

City dominated the first half, with the speed to settle any Watford counter, but showed little flair or knack for breaking through the Hornets’ defenders.

Heurelho Gomes was forced into one low save off the boot of Bacary Sagna, but Watford maintained the 0-0 score line into halftime.

Sterling broke his duck shortly after the break, as David Silva laid off for Bacary Sagna on the right flank, and the ex-Liverpool man darted in to score past Gomes.
