Chelsea is continuing its press to woo Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge.

The Montreal Impact striker took MLS by storm this season, catapulting Montreal’s attack to the next level.

Earlier this year, Drogba was quick to dismiss the idea of a loan. But Chelsea’s hiring of interim boss Guus Hiddink brought the idea back to the forefront, as the Dutchman was keen to bring the big Ivorian to London as an assistant manager.

Loosely translated from RDS.ca:

RDS reports that Chelsea has made an unspecified offer to Didier Drogba.

His agent is on vacation in Senegal, and said nothing has changed in Drogba’s plans.

Drogba is beloved by Chelsea, and the feeling’s mutual. Unless Drogba really is ready to focus solely on MLS, it’s hard to imagine he won’t at least bend an ear the way of his former boss Hiddink, given the striker’s stated desire to one day manage the club.

Drogba’s instant chemistry with players like Ignacio Piatti was glorious to watch. Here’s hoping the move would only be a loan opportunity, because Drogba hanging up his boots would be a big shot to the Impact’s power and momentum.
