With Jose Mourinho still sorting out his squad this season, Manchester United could turn its attention to a previous transfer target to help out defensively.

Antonio Valencia has been tabbed as the team’s first-choice right back for much of the 2016 Premier League season thus far, however, the club has little cover at the position, particularly with Matteo Darmian linked with a move away from Old Trafford in January.

According to the Mirror, the Red Devils have turned their attention to Everton’s Seamus Coleman for the winter transfer window. United is reportedly willing to offer up to nearly $20 million for the 27-year-old Irishman.

Coleman has played a key role for the Toffees this season, as Everton currently sits fifth in the PL through seven matches. The defender netted the winner for Ireland during their midweek UEFA World Cup qualifying match against Georgia, as well.
