Kane, 24, was seen training with Tottenham’s first team at their training base on Tuesday before their UEFA Champions League Group H game against reigning European champs Real Madrid on Wednesday.

If Spurs win on Wednesday they will secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League with two group games to go.

As for Kane, the red-hot striker missed Spurs’ 1-0 defeat at Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday and their 3-2 defeat to West Ham in the League Cup after suffering a strain to his left hamstring.

Speaking on Tuesday, Pochettino kept his cards close to his chest about Kane being available for the monster clash against Real.

“We are very confident. He is on the list, we have one day more to assess him. I think maybe it can be possible he will be available to play tomorrow, but I don’t want to be 100 per cent sure about that decision, because we have one day more,” Pochettino said. “Today and yesterday were good in training. Now with the medical staff, we will try to make the right decision, because it is important to make the right decision for tomorrow.”

Kane has scored 17 goals in 16 games for club and country this season and leads the Premier League in scoring with eight goals.

It remains to be seen if he’s fit enough to play from the start against Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. but if he’s available off the bench, that will be a huge boost for Tottenham who looked a completely different team in attack against Man United at the weekend.
