USMNT move up one spot in latest FIFA World rankings

Ahead of the international games taking place across the world in the next 10 days, the latest FIFA World rankings have been released.

The U.S. national team has moved up one spot to 28th in the world with a disappointing Gold Cup campaign failing to hurt Jurgen Klinsmann’s side, in terms of these standings.

Other notable climbers are Chile, who won the 2015 Copa America, as they move up two places to eight, while England move down two spots to 10th in the only change in the top 10. Mexico remain the top ranked CONCACAF team, as they sit in 26th spot, while Costa Rica have dropped all the way down to 39th following their slump after an impressive 2014 World Cup.

Below is the top 20 in full, as Klinsmann’s side will have a chance to boost their rankings with friendly wins against Peru and Brazil in the next week.
