Victor Moses out up to eight weeks with injury

Stoke City was delivered a blow when Victor Moses was ruled out 6-8 weeks with a thigh injury.

The Nigerian international was taken off the pitch in the 56th minute of Stoke’s 2-1 loss to Burnley after picking up the injury.

While the shocking home loss to Burnley was bad enough, Moses’ injury is more bad news for Potters fans. When talking to BBC Radio Stoke, the club’s assistant manager Mark Bowen didn’t sound too optimistic when talking about the injury concern.

It’s bad news on Victor Moses, a problem with his thigh. He will be out with anything up to six to eight weeks. It’s a big hit. He had a scan and it’s not good.

At the moment we’re deciding with Chelsea whether to go back and have the rehab there or stay with our team.”

Moses joined Chelsea in 2012, but was on loan to Liverpool last season before being sent to Stoke City this year. In ten appearances for the Potters he has scored one goal and added three assists.

Since shocking Manchester City at the Etihad with a 1-0 win early in the season, Stoke has dropped to 11th on the Premier League table. Manager Mark Hughes brought in the likes of Victor Moses and Bojan to help the Potters’ attack, yet they have struggled to find the back of the net, scoring 13 goals in 12 matches.
