Wales’ Ledley rues Portugal’s goals, says Ronaldo is no Bale

Forget Ronaldo vs. Messi. Joe Ledley doesn’t even think Ronaldo beats Bale.

The Welsh midfielder was frothing after Portugal knocked his side out of EURO 2016 in Wednesday’s semifinal, and went off on Ronaldo’s play.

Ledley, the 29-year-old Crystal Palace man, says that Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world, but that he’s no Bale.

The goal he scored and the other he assisted? “Crappy”.

From Goal.com:

“He’s one of those players who frustrates you,” he told reporters. “He’s never in the game compared to Gareth [Bale].

“He’s always in the game, always on the ball, always wanting it, always dribbling and always trying to do something.”

Pretty sure Ronaldo demands the ball just as often, and that’s one of the reasons Bale hasn’t been able to shine as bright in Madrid.

In any event, just an interesting batch of quotes from Ledley. Click on the link for the full batch of quotes.
