FC Ingolstadt’s Bundesliga debut started swimmingly, and a United States men’s national team player played a big role in the match’s only goal.

Alfredo Morales, working from the left side of a three-man attacking midfield, nutmegged a defender with a pass that Lukas Hinterseer buried for a 66th minute goal against Mainz.
