WATCH: Tim Sherwood disappointed with draw against QPR
Despite scoring three goals in a match for just the second time all season and earning a point at home, Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is still disappointed with his side’s draw against Queens Park Rangers.
After going down early, Villa rallied behind a first half brace from Christian Benteke to go into the break with a 2-1 lead.

But tired legs in the second half hurt the Villans, as QPR scored twice to erase the deficit and put Villa in need of a late equalizer to stay above the drop zone.
Christian Benteke found that equalizer, completing his hat-trick and salvaging a point for the home side. Benteke now has seven goals in his last five Premier League matches, finding the goal scoring touch that saw the Belgian tally 23 times for Villa just two seasons ago.

Sherwood may be disappointed today, but earning that one point could end up being massive for Villa as the Premier League season heads into it’s final stretch. The Villans currently sit three points clear of the drop, but have played one more match than three of the four teams that trail them.
Out of Aston Villa’s six remaining matches, they must play away at Tottenham, Manchester City and Southampton. Looking at that upcoming schedule, you can see why Sherwood was so keen on taking all three points against QPR today.
