With two Premier League strikers rumored close to moving to new clubs inside England’s top flight (Loic Remy and Steven Naismith), we could be headed for a busier than usual January transfer window.

When Friday morning arrives, Newcastle could be calling Moscow for CSKA midfielder Alan Dzagoev. The 25-year-old attacker is a bigger version of Yohan Cabaye, and is 49-times capped by Russia. Steve McClaren could have him for about $15 million.

Could Bafetimbi Gomis leave Swansea City for the shores of Qatar? Lekhwiya is the name of the club that may want to buy the veteran French striker, and Swans are said to be willing to pull the trigger if they can lure Patrick Bamford on trial from Chelsea.

Yannick Bolasie has been terrific for Crystal Palace, and Inter Milan is the first of several Serie A sides in our gossip rundown. The Congolese playmaker could command a $29 million bid from the Italian powers. Would Palace possibly be tempted?

Mathieu Debuchy was a dynamo at Newcastle but has struggled for health and form at Arsenal. Now Italian outlet La Repubblica claims the Frenchman could be set for a loan deal at Roma until the end of the season. Wonder if a reunion with best pal Yohan Cabaye at Crystal Palace could be in the offing?

Speaking of PL to Serie A moves, the Daily Mail claims that out-of-favor Leicester City attacker Andrej Kramaric is wanted by Torino. And AC Milan want to bring Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The same outlet says Borussia Dortmund could be tempted to sell hard-nosed midfielder Ilkay Gundogan if Juventus offer a rumored $45 million. BVB is back towards the top of the table after last year’s struggles.

And in news of the somewhat-absurd, Harry Redknapp could have a new job... in Slovenia. NK Olimpija Ljubljana is owned by ex-Portsmouth boss Milan Mandaric, and, yes, you’ll have to ask the chairman about that.
