With announcement within days, who’s likely to suit up for USMNT next week?

Boyd-Beasley

The United States men’s national team is headed to Great Britain for matches against Colombia and Ireland, right smack in the middle of the MLS playoffs.

So it makes it a bit tricky to predict exactly who will be coming for the Nov. 14 and 18 matches, as presumably not everyone is Robbie “I’m coming anyway” Keane.

MLS has a 13-day break between the final match of this round and the first match of the conference finals, so anyone is free to go to Europe if called up.

Here are two roster projections, one from a “I’ll call up anyone at any time” Klinsmann, and another free from all potential MLS playoff-tied players.

Saints FC ‘keeper Cody Cropper is on the verge of stepping into Southampton’s first team.

GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake), Cody Cropper (Southampton)

Note: It’s either Cropper, based in England, or Sean Johnson of the Chicago Fire. There’s a chance Klinsmann calls up DC United’s Bill Hamid if the Black-and-Red are finished off by New York this weekend.

DEFENDERS (7): Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Fabian Johnson (Borussia Monchengladbach), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Greg Garza (Club Tijuana), Michael Orozco (Puebla), DeAndre Yedlin (Seattle Sounders FC), John Anthony Brooks (Hertha Berlin)

MIDFIELDERS (7): Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Jermaine Jones (New England Revolution), Alfredo Morales (Ingolstadt), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City), Julian Green (Hamburger SV), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo)

FORWARDS (5): Jozy Altidore (Sunderland), Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders FC), Aron Johannsson (AZ Alkmaar), Bobby Wood (1860 Munich), Terrence Boyd (RB Leipzig)
