Ethan Horvath has been making a name for himself in Norway this year, and now the 20-year-old Colorado-born goalkeeper has earned praise from one the world’s all-time best at his position.

Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar caught Horvath’s solid display in the UEFA Europa League for Molde on Thursday, as the kid made 10 saves in a 1-1 draw against Ajax.

Van der Sar is a marketing executive at Ajax, and is impressed with Horvath.

Of the comments he made, here are some of our favorites scooped by Greg Seltzer at MLSSoccer.com:

“He has every reason to be pleased with himself,” judged Van der Sar...

“One can see that he is ambitious and talented. He can use these matches in Europe to make his mark. Matches in the Europa League are also opportunities to show themselves to a larger audience.”

Horvath has made an impact for Molde since breaking through last Spring, recording 8 shutouts. He was named to the U.S. U-20 World Cup squad this summer, but not released for the tournament by Molde.
