“I stayed on the pitch for more than 20 minutes this year,” boomed an ebullient Zlatan Ibrahimovic after PSG knocked Chelsea out of the UEFA Champions League for a second-straight year.

No, Zlatan was not red-carded in this year’s UCL win over Chelsea, and yes, he has good reason to be fired up.

Ibrahimovic scored at Stamford Bridge and was an absolute force in this year’s tie with the Blues. By the time Paris Saint-Germain wrapped up its 2-1 win Wednesday -- 4-2 on aggregate -- Zlatan was relishing his side’s prospects.

From the BBC:

“I stayed more than 20 minutes on the pitch this year! We did a good game, very stable. We played with lots of patient possession and when we had a chance to strike we scored two goals. We had enough to win the game.

“Overall we played the way we wanted to. It was not easy, you have to watch out. Chelsea’s front four are able to do anything. We are doing good things, where we end up we don’t know. We are not satisfied yet.”

Of the four clubs who have advanced to the quarterfinals, PSG may be the most complete. Could Ibrahimovic bring PSG to its first UCL semifinal since 1995?
