Seahawks signed Purdue WR Terry Wright.
Wright (5'11/180) ran a 4.34 second 40-yard dash, but went undrafted after catching 28 passes for 468 yards for the Boilermakers. With his speed, he should be a special teams contributor, but Seattle did draft three wideouts (D.K. Metcalf, Gary Jennings, John Ursua) so it’ll be an uphill battle to both find time on the field and to make the final roster.
  • Purdue WR Terry Wright ran the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds during his pro day on Tuesday.
Wright (5'11/180) did not receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine, but his fast time on Tuesday will at least keep him on the pro radar if nothing else. He earlier took part in the East-West Shrine Game, though he had some issues with drops during the practice week. Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline currently stamps the speedster with a UDFA grade.
  • Purdue senior WR Terry Wright accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Wright (5'11/180) was fourth in both catches (28) and receiving yards (468) for the Boilermakers in 2018, and he scored five touchdowns for good measure. Three of those touchdowns came in one game; an impressive 6/146/3 line in the victory over Iowa. He should get a chance to shine on special teams, and that will be big for him to get on draft radars coming into 2019.
  • Purdue senior WR Terry Wright had six catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday’s 38-36 victory over Iowa.
Rondale Moore, a game-time decision, was clearly compromised, so Wright picked up the slack. His career-best game -- by far -- included touchdown catches from David Blough of 41, 82 and 3 yards. Purdue heads to Minnesota next time around.
  • Purdue junior WR Terry Wright (shoulder) didn’t travel with the team for Saturday’s game against Wisconsin.
Wright suffered the injury last week against Minnesota. His absence should mean that more targets will be funneled to primary options TE Cole Herdman and WRs Jackson Anthrop, Anthony Mahoungou and Gregory Phillips.
  • Purdue HC Jeff Brohm is “hopeful” that junior WR Terry Wright (shoulder) will return Saturday against Rutgers.
Wright didn’t travel with the team to Saturday’s game at Wisconsin after suffering the injury the week before against Minnesota. If Brohm’s optimistic about his odds pf returning against the Scarlet Knights, there’s no reason we shouldn’t be as well.
