Orioles to give out Machado gnomes on July 9

When Buck Showalter found out that he was going to be the model for the Orioles’ first garden gnome, he wasn’t pleased. He jokingly suggested the team honor Manny Machado instead.

A year later, the Orioles have taken up Showalter’s suggestion and on July 9, they’ll present Machado garden gnomes to all fans.

Other new promotions include an Orioles canvas tote and scarf to be given to the first 10,000 women 18 and over on May 7 and 8.

The team will honor the 1966 World Series winners with 1966 replica jerseys on July 24.

T-shirts will be distributed on May 30, June 26, July 8, Aug. 21 and Sept. 23.
