After his team blew out the Ravens 35-6 on Sunday, Richard Sherman had something to say to reporters postgame (that isn't the newsworthy part of this story, considering the very talkative cornerback normally has something to say. It's what he said that's interesting).
“The Seattle Seahawks, back doing what they do," Sherman said. "Let’s call all those people who wrote us off and call for their jobs."
The two-time Pro Bowler, who picked off Jimmy Clausen at M&T Bank in the fourth quarter of the matchup, is clearly addressing those who felt his group was no longer a contender after it started the year 4-5. However, the NFC West power has certainly woken up from that lackluster first half and now stand at 9-5 after posting four straight wins.
Whether he was just frustrated about being tackled by his hair or is seriously angry about being doubted, Sherman is definitely fired up for the season's stretch run. Combine that with the fact that his head coach celebrated the victory by climbing on top of some lockers, and it appears that the postgame scene in the Seattle locker room was a very unique one. And that's without a healthy Marshawn Lynch, mind you.
