Where does Ravens QB Lamar Jackson rank in the Madden NFL 21 QB ratings?

Where does Ravens QB Lamar Jackson rank in the Madden NFL 21 QB ratings?

On Monday, Madden NFL 21 released their rankings for top 10 highest-rated quarterbacks for 2021. Ravens fans might not be thrilled with where NFL MVP Lamar Jackson landed, but the competition was tough.

Leading the pack at No.1 is Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, who earned himself a 99 QB rating this week and a $503 million contract last week. Seahawks’ Russell Wilson is right behind him with a 97 overall rating, making both of them the only two QB’s with ratings over 95.

Jackson, your 2019 league MVP and this year’s Madden 21 cover athlete, comes in at number 3 in the rankings with a 94 overall rating. He's just ahead of New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (93) and well ahead of new Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady (90).

Jackson made a huge jump from last season's rating when he was 76 overall, 25th among QB’s. Wondering what skill attributed to his jump to No. 3? His speed. To refresh your memory, back in November of 2019 Jackson broke Michael Vick’s Madden speed record with a 96 rating making him the fastest QB in Madden history.

Not long after that, in Baltimore against the New York Jets, Jackson broke another one of Vicks records. Surpassing 1,039 rushing yards, which is the most by a quarterback in a single season. The reigning league MVP always said he would watch Vicks highlights, but now he’s created his own highlight reel after a historic 2019 season with Baltimore. Ravens Flock is counting down the days until they can see him break some more ankles!

Browns WR Jarvis Landry tells Tom Brady 'the leagues needs your voice right now'

Browns WR Jarvis Landry tells Tom Brady 'the leagues needs your voice right now'

Tom Brady is one of -- if not the most -- well-known and well-respected players in the National Football League. When it comes to star power, he is at the top of the list.

Now, Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry is asking Brady to use his strong voice to help NFL players achieve their goals as they enter the 2020 season. Landry recently took to Twitter to ask Brady to participate in discussions between the league and players.

It's unclear what exactly Landry is referring to when he says he and other players need Brady's voice. It could have to do with the fight for social justice in the country, and it could relate to the situation surrounding the upcoming NFL campaign amid the coronavirus pandemic.

With training camp set to start at the end of July, there are still many unanswered questions about how the season will work. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that testing protocols and the length of the preseason are two issues that remain unsolved. The league has been working to put measures in place to limit player exposure including banning jersey swaps, which did not go over well with many players.

As for the preseason, the schedule has been cut down to two games, but the NFLPA has voted to have the entire preseason eliminated. There was also a report that the league proposed a 35% pay cut for players to counteract the revenue losses the pandemic will create.

Players have been vocal about having their demands met, and Landry is now asking an influential player like Brady to help get things to where they need to be.
